About Jennifer Pellerin: The Story Behind the Story

Jennifer Pellerin is an author, screenwriter, and filmmaker whose grief after the death of her mother became the doorway into the world of Shadow Walker.

After my mother died, I entered a season of grief that changed how I experienced the world. During that time, Shadow came to me — not all at once, but through images, fragments, dreams, questions, and a presence I could not ignore.

"I thought I was writing a woman who could walk between worlds. In time, I understood that she was teaching me how to walk between grief and love without abandoning either one."

Her love, our relationship, the healing and reconciliation that came before her passing — these became part of the emotional current running beneath every page of this trilogy. She is not absent from this work. She is woven into it. Writing Shadow Walker became part of my journey through grief and healing — not a way to leave grief behind, but a way to remain in relationship with love.
